Section 444 - Violations and penalties

Any person who shall directly or indirectly engage in the practice of barbering or hold himself out to the public as being able so to do, or conduct a barber shop without a license therefor, or who shall violate any of the provisions of this article, or having had his license suspended or revoked, shall continue to engage in the practice of barbering or who directly or indirectly employs, permits or authorizes an unlicensed person to engage in the practice of barbering or who directly or indirectly employs, permits or authorizes an unregistered apprentice to act as an apprentice, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punishable by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by both such fine and imprisonment and each such violation shall be deemed a separate offense.
