Section 42-2-508 - Fees - operations - rule(1) The department may promulgate a rule imposing an additional fee for issuance of a document issued under this part 5 to cover the direct and indirect cost of implementing this part 5. The department shall set the fee in accordance with section 42-2-114.5 (2). The department shall transfer the fees to the state treasurer, who shall credit the fees to the Colorado DRIVES vehicle services account created in section 42-1-211 (2).(2)(b) By July 1, 2020, the department shall issue identification documents under this part 5 in an efficient manner at ten or more offices, including offices operating before July 1, 2020, that are geographically distributed throughout the state.Amended by 2022 Ch. 135, § 15, eff. 7/1/2022.Amended by 2019 Ch. 298, § 1, eff. 5/28/2019.L. 2013: Entire part added, (SB 13-251), ch. 2354, p. 2354, § 4, effective August 7.
