Section 9-934 - Membership(a)(1) The Commission consists of 10 members.(2) Of the 10 Commission members:(i) 5 shall be appointed by the Secretary , with the approval of the Governor; and(ii) 5 shall be appointed by the Mayor of Baltimore City.(b) Each member must be a Maryland war veteran.(c)(1) The term of a member is 5 years.(2) The terms of a member are staggered as required by the terms provided for members of the Commission on October 1, 1984.(3) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.(4) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.Amended by 2024 Md.
