Section 14-8A-01 - Definitions(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.(b) "Governing body" means:(1) the county executive and county council of a charter county with a county executive;(2) the county council of a charter county with no county executive;(3) the board of county commissioners of a county; or(4) the mayor and council, by whatever name known, of a municipal corporation.(c) "National Capital Region" means the area defined under § 2674(f)(2) of Title 10 of the United States Code, including those counties with a border abutting that area and any municipal corporations in those counties.
