Section 15-1A-06 - Limitats on rules for eligibility(a) A carrier may not establish rules for eligibility, including continued eligibility, for enrollment of an individual into a health benefit plan based on health status-related factors, including: (3) receipt of health care;(6) evidence of insurability including conditions arising out of acts of domestic violence; or(b) A carrier may not require an individual, as a condition of enrollment or continued enrollment in a health benefit plan, to pay a premium or contribution that is greater than the premium or contribution for a similarly situated individual enrolled in the health benefit plan on the basis of any health status-related factor in relation to the individual or to an individual enrolled under the health benefit plan as a dependent of the individual.Added by 2020 Md.
