Section 12-6C-11 - Violations; penalties(a)(1) If a person knowingly violates any provision of this subtitle or any regulation adopted under this subtitle, the Board may impose a fine not to exceed $500,000.(2) Before the Board imposes a fine, the Board shall consider the appropriateness of the fine in relation to: (i) The size of the wholesale distributor;(ii) The gravity of the violation for which the fine is to be imposed;(iii) The good faith of the wholesale distributor; and(iv) Any previous violations by the wholesale distributor.(b) In addition to the penalty provided in subsection (a) of this section, the Board also may take disciplinary action against a permit holder who is convicted of or pleads guilty or nolo contendere to a violation of State, federal, or local drug laws.
