Section 5-202 - Examination of witnesses(a) The Commissioner or deputy Commissioner may:(1) Summon any officer, manager, trustee, employee, or agent of any banking institution and any other witness that the Commissioner thinks proper;(2) Administer an oath to that person; and(3) Question that person about the affairs of the institution.(b) The Commissioner or deputy Commissioner may not delegate the powers granted by subsection (a) of this section.(c)(1) A person may not: (i) Obstruct the Commissioner or any person acting for the Commissioner in the performance of the duties of the Commissioner; or(ii) Refuse to appear or testify without good cause when summoned under this section.(2) Any person who violates any provision of this subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both.
