Section 11-818 - [Effective Until 7/1/2025] False claims(a) A person may not assert a false claim under this subtitle.(b) A person who violates this section: (1) is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not less than $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both; and(2) shall forfeit any benefit received and reimburse the State for payments received or paid on the person's behalf under this subtitle.This section is set out more than once due to postponed, multiple, or conflicting amendments.
