Section 8-902 - Methyl alcohol in medication(a)(1) In this section the following words have the meanings indicated.(2) "Drug" means a drug, medicine, or a medicinal or chemical preparation for internal human consumption.(3) "Prepare" means to make, mix, manufacture, or compound.(b) A person who is engaged in the business of preparing or dispensing a drug for internal human consumption may not prepare, dispense, sell, or deliver the drug to a person directly or through an agent or employee if:(1) ethyl alcohol is usually used to prepare the drug; and(2) the preparer, or the preparer's agent or employee, in any manner uses or substitutes methyl alcohol for ethyl alcohol, or puts methyl alcohol into the drug.(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment for not less than 3 months and not exceeding 1 year or a fine of not less than $100 and not exceeding $500 or both.
