Section 8-209 - Receiving property by stolen, counterfeit, or misrepresented credit card(a) A person may not receive money, goods, services, or anything of value if the person knows or believes that the money, goods, services, or other thing of value was obtained in violation of § 8-206 of this subtitle.(b)(1)(i) If the value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value obtained in violation of this section is at least $1,500 but less than $25,000, a person who violates this section is guilty of a felony and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.(ii) If the value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value obtained in violation of this section is at least $25,000 but less than $100,000, a person who violates this section is guilty of a felony and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 10 years or a fine not exceeding $15,000 or both.(iii) If the value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value obtained in violation of this section is $100,000 or more, a person who violates this section is guilty of a felony and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 20 years or a fine not exceeding $25,000 or both.(2) Except as provided in paragraph (3) of this subsection, if the value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value obtained in violation of this section is at least $100 but less than $1,500, a person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.(3) If the value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value obtained in violation of this section is less than $100, a person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.Amended by 2016 Md.
