Section 56-5-3180 - Pedestrians soliciting rides or business(a) No person shall stand in a roadway for the purpose of soliciting a ride.(b) Except when authorized by the provisions of Section 5-27-910, no person shall stand on a highway for the purpose of soliciting employment, business, or contributions from the occupant of any vehicle.(c) No person may stand on or in proximity to a street or highway for the purpose of soliciting the watching or guarding of any vehicle while parked or about to be parked on a street or highway.1988 Act No. 373, Section 3; 1977 Act No. 145 Section 5; 1949 (46) 466; 1952 Code Section 46-437; 1962 Code Section 46-437.
