Section 715D.9 - [Effective 1/1/2025] Preemption1. This chapter supersedes and preempts all rules, regulations, codes, ordinances, and other laws adopted by a city, county, municipality, or local agency regarding the processing of personal data by controllers or processors.2. Any reference to federal, state, or local law or statute in this chapter shall be deemed to include any accompanying rules or regulations or exemptions thereto, or in the case of a federal agency, guidance issued by such agency thereto.Added by 2023 Iowa, ch 17, s 9, eff. 1/1/2025.
