Section 45-43-60 - Compensation; expense allowances
(a)
(1) In Lowndes County, the coroner shall be entitled to receive an expense allowance in the amount of one thousand two hundred dollars ($1,200) per month.
(2) The compensation provided for by this subsection shall be paid from the county general fund and shall be in addition to any other compensation or expense allowance provided by law.

(b) In addition to the amounts the coroner receives under subsection (a), the coroner shall be reimbursed in an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per year for supplies related to the performance of official duties.
(c) Beginning with the next term of office for the coroner after the date of the act adding this amendatory language, the expense allowance of the coroner shall be increased by the amount of the same cost-of-living increase that all other Lowndes County officials receive pursuant to Chapter 2A of Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975.
