Section 41-9-338.4 - Alabama Women's Tribute Statue Commission exemption from competitive bid laws(a) The Alabama Women's Tribute Statue Commission is exempt from Chapter 2 of Title 39 for the purpose of procuring any contract to commission the creation and placement of statues or any works directly related to statues of Rosa Parks and Helen Keller on the grounds of the Capitol by artists or other individuals possessing a high degree of professional skill where the personality of the individual plays a decisive part.(b) The Finance Director shall approve any contract pursuant to subsection (a) prior to any expenditure of funds.Ala.
