Prior to issuance of a permit for oral conscious sedation, the board may require an on-site inspection of the personnel, the facility, and the equipment to determine if the requirements of this article have been met. The on-site inspection shall be conducted by an investigator employed by the board pursuant to Section 34-9-3 or by such other individuals as prescribed by the board pursuant to its rules.
