Section 34-28A-22 - Applications for examination; application fee; applications for reexamination; performance of speech-language pathology and audiology services prior to action by board on application(a) A person eligible for licensure under Section 34-28A-21 and desirous of licensure shall make application for examination to the board at least 30 days prior to the date of examination, upon a form and in a manner as the board prescribes, and shall mail or deliver the application to a permanent address set and made known to the general public by publication by the board.(b) Any application shall be accompanied by the non-refundable fee prescribed in Section 34-28A-27.(c) A person who fails an examination may make application for reexamination if he or she again meets the requirements of subsections (a) and (b).(d) A person certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) or licensed under the law of another state, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist who has applied for licensure under this section may perform speech-language pathology and audiology services in this state during the interim period of time prior to board action on that application.Ala.
