Section 25-9-8 - Certificate of competency for fire bosses and mine foremen - Required(a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person shall act as fire boss in any coal mine in this state unless he is in possession of a certificate of competency.(b) No person shall be employed as mine foreman in any coal mine in this state unless he is in possession of a certificate of competency as provided for in this article.Ala.
