Section 16804.1 - Fee or charge by person for medically necessary services prohibited(a) No fee or charge shall be required of any person before a county renders medically necessary services to persons entitled to services pursuant to Section 17000.(b) This section is declaratory of existing law and shall not be interpreted to effect a county's authority to implement a reasonable sliding fee schedule based on ability to pay.Ca.
