Section 1233.9 - Recidivism Reduction Fund(a) There is hereby created in the State Treasury the Recidivism Reduction Fund for moneys to be available upon appropriation by the Legislature, for activities designed to reduce the state's prison population, including, but not limited to, reducing recidivism. Funds available in the Recidivism Reduction Fund may be transferred to the State Community Corrections Performance Incentives Fund.(b) Any funds in the Recidivism Reduction Fund not encumbered by June 30, 2016, shall revert to the General Fund upon order of the Department of Finance.(c) The Recidivism Reduction Fund shall be abolished once all funds encumbered in the Recidivism Reduction Fund are liquidated.Amended by Stats 2015 ch 26 (SB 85),s 27, eff. 6/24/2015.Added by Stats 2013 ch 310 (SB 105),s 12, eff. 9/12/2013.
