Section 626.92 - Applicability of Gun-Free School Zone Act of 1995Section 626.9 does not apply to or affect any of the following:
(a) A security guard authorized to openly carry an unloaded handgun pursuant to Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 26350) of Division 5 of Title 4 of Part 6.(b) An honorably retired peace officer authorized to openly carry an unloaded handgun pursuant to Section 26361.(c) A security guard authorized to openly carry an unloaded firearm that is not a handgun pursuant to Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 26400) of Division 5 of Title 4 of Part 6.(d) An honorably retired peace officer authorized to openly carry an unloaded firearm that is not a handgun pursuant to Section 26405.Amended by Stats 2012 ch 700 (AB 1527),s 3, eff. 1/1/2013.Added by Stats 2011 ch 725 (AB 144),s 3, eff. 1/1/2012.
