Section 487h - Stealing cargo of value exceeding $950(a) Every person who steals, takes, or carries away cargo of another, if the cargo taken is of a value exceeding nine hundred fifty dollars ($950), except as provided in Sections 487, 487a, and 487d, is guilty of grand theft.(b) For the purposes of this section, "cargo" means any goods, wares, products, or manufactured merchandise that has been loaded into a trailer, railcar, or cargo container, awaiting or in transit.Amended by Stats 2009 ch 607 (SB 24),s 1, eff. 1/1/2010.Amended by Stats 2009 ch 28 (SB X3-18),s 22, eff. 1/1/2010.Added by Stats 2004 ch 515 (AB 1814), s 1, eff. 1/1/2005.
