Section 3111 - Apprenticeship program(a) The division may provide apprenticeship innovation funding support funds for the organizing, running, and sustaining of, an apprenticeship program that is not within the jurisdiction of the council established pursuant to Section 3070. To be eligible for support funds, an apprenticeship program or eligible entity must submit to the division an application to request funds.(b) For each apprentice that is actively registered with the division for each 12-month period, an apprenticeship program or eligible entity is eligible to receive support funds in an amount determined by the division. In determining the amount, the division shall aim to provide support funds to as many eligible programs as possible and shall consider the amount of available support funds, the number of approved programs not within the jurisdiction of the council established pursuant to Section 3070, and the number of apprentices registered in those programs.(c) The eligible amount in subdivision (b) shall be prorated on a monthly basis for apprentices who are actively registered for less than the 12-month period.Amended by Stats 2022 ch 569 (AB 156),s 45, eff. 9/27/2022.Added by Stats 2022 ch 67 (SB 191),s 17, eff. 6/30/2022.
