Section 38542 - Labeling of container in which buttermilk is soldEvery container in which buttermilk is sold shall be labeled with a label containing all of the following information:
(a) The name and address of the distributor.(b) The factory license number of the manufacturer, if the manufacturer is not the distributor.(c) A statement that the product is pasteurized, if pasteurized.(d) A statement that the product is cultured.(e) A list of ingredients added, such as salt, stabilizers, and flavoring.(f) If the principal label uses descriptive modifying terms, such terms shall not be false or misleading.Ca.
