Section 10730 - Applicability of chapter(a) This chapter provides the procedures for nomination and election of candidates at a special election to fill vacancies in the House of Representatives caused by a catastrophe.(b) The procedures provided by Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 10700) shall apply to special elections to the extent those provisions are not inconsistent with this chapter or Section 8 of Title 2 of the United States Code.Amended by Stats 2010 ch 306 (SB 211),s 2, eff. 1/1/2011.Added by Stats 2002 ch 658 (AB 2760),s 4, eff. 1/1/2003.
