Section 1788.20 - [Effective Until 1/1/2025] Applying for credit with no probability of paying obligation or submitting false informationIn connection with any request or application for consumer credit, no person shall:
(a) Request or apply for such credit at a time when such person knows there is no reasonable probability of such person's being able, or such person then lacks the intention, to pay the obligation created thereby in accordance with the terms and conditions of the credit extension; or(b) Knowingly submit false or inaccurate information or willfully conceal adverse information bearing upon such person's credit worthiness, credit standing, or credit capacity.Added by Stats. 1977, Ch. 907.This section is set out more than once due to postponed, multiple, or conflicting amendments.
