Section 6-16-1202 - DefinitionsAs used in this subchapter:
(1) "Advanced Placement course" means a high school level preparatory course for a college Advanced Placement test that: (A) Incorporates all topics specified by the College Board and Educational Testing Service on its standards syllabus for a given subject area; and(B) Is approved by the College Board and Educational Testing Service;(2) "Endorsed concurrent enrollment course" means a college-level course offered by an institution of higher education in this state that upon completion would qualify for academic credit in both the institution of higher education and a public high school that:(A) Is in one (1) of the four (4) core areas of math, English, science, and social studies;(B) Meets the requirements of § 6-16-1204(b); and(C) Is listed in the Arkansas Course Transfer System of the Division of Higher Education;(3) "Pre-Advanced Placement course" means a middle school, junior high school, or high school level course that specifically prepares students to enroll and to participate in an advanced placement course; and(4) "Vertical team" means a group of educators from different grade levels in a given discipline who work cooperatively to develop and implement a vertically aligned program aimed at helping students from diverse backgrounds acquire the academic skills necessary for success in the Advanced Placement program and other challenging coursework.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 1352, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 2003 (2nd Ex.
