Section 22-3-305 - Master plan(a) The Capitol Zoning District Commission, using professional and technical assistance as it deems necessary, shall make, adopt, maintain, and revise, from time to time, an official master comprehensive plan for the Capitol Zoning District for the purpose of bringing about coordinated physical development in accordance with the present and future needs of the district.(b) The master plan will be developed so as to preserve the dignity of the Capitol Building and Governor's Mansion, ensure efficient expenditure of public funds, and promote the safety, convenience, and general well-being of the district's inhabitants and property owners.(c) The master plan should include, among other things, rules relative to the location and character of roads and other transportation routes, utility services, parks, buildings, and other construction within the district.(d) The commission may adopt the plan in whole or in part and may subsequently amend the adopted plan in whole or in part.(e) After the adoption of the master comprehensive plan, the commission shall file a copy with the office of the Secretary of State for the inspection of the public.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 2347, eff. 7/24/2019.Acts 1975, No. 267, § 3; A.S.A. 1947, § 5-237.
