Section 20-15-704 - Petition to isolate patient(a) If the health officer finds that the circumstances are not suitable for proper isolation or contagious control of the case by any type of local quarantine and if the person will not voluntarily seek medical treatment and is a source of danger to others, then the health officer shall petition the circuit court of the county where the person is found to order the admission of the person to any state-owned and state-operated hospital or sanatorium or any other hospital or sanatorium that is equipped to treat tuberculosis under the conditions enumerated in § 20-15-707(a).(b) The health officer shall set forth in a petition a summary of the factual basis of the determination that the circumstances are not suitable for proper isolation or contagious control of the case by any type of local quarantine and that the person will not voluntarily seek medical treatment and is a source of danger to others.Acts 1955, No. 161, §§ 3, 4; 1975, No. 745, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 82-613, 82-614.
