Section 20-12-202 - Definitions

As used in this subchapter:

(1) "Rural area" means any city, town, or other area having a population of fifteen thousand (15,000) inhabitants or less according to the 1990 Federal Decennial Census. The census from federal or state penal institutions, federal or state human service institutions, institutions of higher education, or any similar facility shall not be included in the census figure when defining a city, town, or other area under this subchapter; and
(2) "Rural medical clinic loans" means loans in sums not to exceed one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) in the aggregate, to be used exclusively for land acquisition or for the construction, reconstruction, repair, or expansion of a building to be used as a medical clinic in a rural area and the acquisition and installation of equipment therein.
