Section 17-96-103 - Unlawful acts - Penalties(a) Any person who shall unlawfully obtain registration under this chapter, whether by false or untrue statements contained in the application to the Arkansas Board of Podiatric Medicine or by presenting to the board a fraudulent diploma, certificate for license, or one fraudulently obtained, or by practicing without any registration or certificate shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.(b) Except as otherwise provided in this section, any person who shall swear falsely to any affidavit or oral testimony made or given by virtue of the provisions of this chapter or the rules of the board shall be guilty of perjury and upon conviction shall be subject to all the pains and penalties of perjury.(c) Any person who shall knowingly violate any of the provisions of this chapter, upon conviction shall be fined a sum not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000) or be imprisoned in the county jail not to exceed thirty (30) days, or be both fined and imprisoned.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 1630, eff. 7/24/2019.Acts 1923, No. 610, §§ 5, 10; 1937, No. 187, § 2; Pope's Dig., §§ 10854, 12114, 12119; Acts 1973, No. 31, § 3; 1983, No. 429, § 5; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 72-305, 72-310; Acts 1997, No. 966, § 2; 2005, No. 1994, § 202.
