Section 14-169-704 - Urban renewal plan - Definition(a) Any urban renewal project undertaken pursuant to § 14-169-703 shall be undertaken in accordance with an urban renewal plan for the area of the project.(b) As used in this subchapter, "urban renewal plan" means a plan as it exists from time to time for an urban renewal project. This plan shall: (1) Conform to the general plan for the municipality as a whole; and(2) Be sufficiently complete to indicate such land acquisition, demolition, and removal of structures, redevelopment, improvements, and rehabilitation as may be proposed to be carried out in the area of the urban renewal project, zoning, and planning changes, if any, land uses, maximum densities, building requirements, and the plan's relationship to definite local objectives respecting appropriate land uses, improved traffic, public transportation, public utilities, recreational and community facilities, and other public improvements.(c) An urban renewal plan shall be prepared and approved pursuant to the same procedure as provided in § 14-169-601 et seq. with respect to a redevelopment plan.(d) If real property acquired by a municipality is to be transferred under an urban renewal plan, or such parts of the contract or plan as the housing authority or urban renewal agency may determine, the transfer may be recorded in the land records of the county in such manner as to afford actual or constructive notice of it.Amended by Act 2017, No. 732,§ 4, eff. 8/1/2017.Acts 1945, No. 212, § 14 as added by Acts 1957, No. 189, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 19-3063.3.
