Section 32-1342 - Alkaline hydrolysis facilities; requirementsA. An alkaline hydrolysis facility licensed under this article must meet all of the following:1. Have a building or structure that complies with applicable local and state building codes, zoning laws and ordinances and wastewater management and environmental standards and that contains one or more alkaline hydrolysis vessels.2. Use a method that is approved by the department to dry the hydrolyzed remains and that occurs within the licensed facility. 3. Have an appropriate refrigerated holding facility or another means for refrigerating dead human bodies awaiting alkaline hydrolysis that maintains dead human bodies at or below thirty-eight degrees fahrenheit.B. An alkaline hydrolysis facility: 1. Shall employ a licensed alkaline hydrolysis operator to carry out the process of alkaline hydrolysis. This paragraph does not apply if the alkaline hydrolysis facility is operated or supervised by a responsible cremationist.2. Shall provide proper procedures for all personnel.3.
