Section 44.12.121 - Alaska Wild Salmon Day(a) Alaska Wild Salmon Day is established on August 10 of each year to celebrate the enormous bounty that the following wild salmon bring to the state every year: (1) chinook, also known as "king";(2) sockeye, also known as "red";(3) coho, also known as "silver";(4) chum, also known as "dog" or "keta"; and(5) pink, also known as "humpy."(b) Alaska Wild Salmon Day may be observed by educational and celebratory events, projects, and activities.Added by SLA 2016, ch. 6,sec. 1, eff. 8/5/2016.
