Rule 1 - Title and Scope [Effective January 1, 2019] (a) Title. These rules will be known and cited as "The Rules of Procedure for Juvenile Courts." (b) Scope. These rules govern practice and procedure in the trial courts in all juvenile court actions. (c) Definitions. For purposes of these Rules, the term "State" refers to the county and prosecuting attorney, and/or district attorney. The term "Respondent" refers to any individual required to respond to allegations in a petition filed by the State. (d) Rules. The Wyoming Rules of Evidence shall apply to juvenile proceedings pursuant to W.R.E. 1101(b)(3). (e) All filed documents shall be on 8½ by 11 inch white paper, single-sided, unless (1) the original of the document or written instrument is another size paper and/or double-sided and (2) the law requires the original document or written instrument be filed with the Court, as in the case of wills or other documents.
