As amended through April 30, 2019
Rule 11.04 - Preparation of certification order (a) The certification order shall be prepared by the certifying court or agency, signed by the judge presiding at the hearing or a designated individual for the agency, and forwarded to the reviewing court by the clerk of the certifying court or the designated individual for the agency under the official seal of the court or agency along with the appropriate docket fee. The reviewing court may require the original or copies of all, or of any portion of the record before the certifying court, to be filed under the certification order, if, in the opinion of the reviewing court, the record or any portion may be necessary in answering the questions. (b) The reviewing court shall accept or reject a certified question within 30 days of docketing the certification order. A request for certification is deemed denied if not granted within 30 days of filing in the reviewing court. If the reviewing court rejects the question, the case will be closed and no request for reconsideration will be allowed. Amended April, 6, 2015, effective July 1, 2015.
