Those members elected to and currently serving six-year terms pursuant to 4 V.S.A. § 601(b)(5) prior to the 1986 amendment may serve out their terms. Pursuant to 4 V.S.A. § 601(b)(5), as amended, they shall not thereafter be eligible to serve again.
