Rule 6-402 - Records in domestic relations cases

Intent

To define the records required for motions for temporary relief, alimony, child support, and child custody.

Applicability

This rule applies in the District Court.

Statement of the Rule

All motions for temporary relief in domestic relations cases must include all records, forms, information and affidavits necessary to support the party's position. Attachments to motions and responses regarding alimony shall include income verification and a financial declaration. Attachments to motions and responses regarding child support and child custody shall include income verification and a financial declaration and a child support worksheet. A financial declaration shall be filed under oath or affirmation or declaration under criminal penalty.
