(a) After notice and an opportunity for a hearing under Rule 5.10, the Commission may deny, revoke, suspend, or refuse to renew a license or reprimand a licensed court interpreter on finding that the person:(1) made a material misstatement in an application for a license;(2) disregarded or violated Chapter 157 of the Government Code, or a rule adopted under Chapter 157;(3) engaged in dishonorable or unethical conduct likely to deceive, defraud, or harm the public or a person for whom the interpreter interprets; or (4) engaged in criminal conduct related to court interpretation, as determined using Rule 3.5.(b) The Commission may reissue a license to an individual whose license has been revoked or denied renewal if the individual applies in writing to the Commission and shows good cause to justify reissuance of the license in accordance with Rule 3.14.(c) The Commission may impose an administrative penalty under Chapter 153 of the Government Code against a person who violates Chapter 157 of the Code or a rule adopted under that chapter.Tex.
