Rule 225 - Arguments Of Counsel(a) One attorney for each plaintiff or each group of plaintiffs asserting the same cause of action may make an opening address to the jury. One attorney for each defendant or each group of defendants against whom the same cause of action is asserted may make an opening address. The proof offered by any party shall not be restricted to matters referred to in such addresses if otherwise admissible.(b) After the close of the evidence, one party may first address the jury for each party or group of parties against whom the same cause of action is asserted. The party or parties under a burden of proof shall speak after those addresses.Amended effective through 8/1/2023.
