Rule 1301 - Compulsory Arbitration. Scope(a) All civil actions which are subject to compulsory arbitration pursuant to 42 Pa. Con. Stat. § 7361, in which the amount in controversy, exclusive of interest and costs, is fifty-thousand ($50,000.00) dollars or less, shall be submitted to compulsory arbitration.(b) The amount in controversy shall be the largest amount claimed in any single count of the pleadings by any party.(c) The court, upon the written motion of any party or sua sponte, may require that a case for which a trial is demanded be first submitted to compulsory arbitration pursuant to these rules. Amended effective 1/1/2022Comment: Actions involving real property are not subject to compulsory arbitration.
