A petition for the extension of time for filing the spouse's election against the will and/or conveyances shall contain the basic information set forth in Supreme Court Rule 12.3(A) in so far as appropriate, together with the facts relied upon to justify an extension of time in which to file the election. Such petition shall be filed with the Clerk of Courts and petitioner shall thereafter give ten (10) days notice of intention to request the extension in open court to all persons affected thereby who do not join in the prayer of the petition. The petitioner shall present to the court a verified return of notice.
