Rule 39-1308 - Appeal. Arbitrators' Compensation and NoticeThe arbitrators appointed by the Court shall be entitled to compensation for their services as follows, which fee shall initially be paid by the County upon certification to it by the Prothonotary:
(a) Each arbitrator who has signed the Award or Arbitrators or filed a minority report shall receive a fee of $40.00 for all cases involving one (1) hour or less, plus $20.00 per one-half hour or part thereof over one (1) hour of hearing time;(b) The Chairperson of the Board of Arbitrators shall receive additional compensation of $25.00 notwithstanding that a case be settled or discontinued;(c) Any Franklin County attorney who is appointed pursuant to Rule 391302.2 shall receive additional compensation of $25.00 for each day of attendance at a hearing in Fulton County;(d) The Chairperson shall certify as an appendix to the Award the respective times engaged in hearing of the case by each arbitrator with computation of the compensation, which certification shall constitute a voucher for payment of compensation to the Prothonotary who shall forthwith present the same to the County for payment;(e) In cases involving unusual complexity, the Court, on Petition by members of the Board and for cause shown, may allow additional compensation;(e) Companion cases heard together shall count as one case of the purpose of this Rule.
