Rule 225 - ADDRESSING THE JURY(a) Opening addresses may be made by all parties or groups of parties at the commencement of the trial in the order of their appearing in the pleadings.(b) After the close of the testimony, each party or group of parties shall have the right of final address or argument. The party or group of parties not having the burden of proof shall address the jury first and the party or group of parties having the burden of proof shall have the right of final address in the order of their appearing in the pleadings. In cases of groups or parties not having identical interest, except interest arising from one injury, the Court, when requested, shall allow separate addresses for each interest.(c) The opening and closing addresses of counsel shall be recorded by the Court stenographer.Amended effective 7/1/2020; amended effective 8/1/2022.
