Rule 227.4 - Entry of Judgment by Prothonotary

All judgments except those entered upon default or under a warrant of attorney or confession shall be entered by the prothonotary on receipt of a praecipe showing all data requisite to establish a present right to the entry thereof. When no appearance has been entered by or on behalf of the defendant, the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act, 50 U.S.C.A. App. 520, shall apply, and before any judgment shall be entered the required affidavits shall be filed by the plaintiff, setting forth the facts showing that the defendant is not in the military service of the United States, and if the plaintiff is without knowledge, it shall be so stated in an affidavit setting forth what efforts had been made to ascertain the facts. The affidavit of non-military service shall be filed on the date the praecipe is filed.
