Multnomah Supp. L. R. 7.015

As amended through June 11, 2024
Rule 7.015 - STIPULATED TRIAL SETTING ORDER CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
(1) Unless the case has been dismissed, transferred to arbitration, transferred to the Expedited Civil Jury Trial Program or transferred to a special assignment, the court will send all counsel and self-represented litigants a stipulated order with instructions for setting trial dates once a case is at issue. The instructions provide parameters for selecting a trial date based on when the case was filed. If the parties cannot agree on a trial date within the court's guidelines, the plaintiff should email the Presiding Court to be set on the trial setting docket. The trial setting docket is held Tuesdays at 2 PM in front of the Presiding Judge. If the court permits a case to be scheduled beyond one year, the parties will be subject to SLR 7.016 and will be required to participate in a case status conference prior to the trial date. Any request for a postponement of the trial date selected must be presented as provided in 7.025 and will not be granted without a showing of good cause.
(2) The stipulated order setting trial date must be submitted to the court 35 days from the date the order was sent to the parties by the court. A 30-day notice pending dismissal will be sent to the parties if this order is not submitted to the court within 35 days.
