Rule 12.011 - MEDIATION IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES(1) In all cases subject to mandatory mediation pursuant to SLR 12.005 where one or more parties is restrained from contact with the other party pursuant to a Family Abuse Prevention Act restraining order, Elder Abuse restraining order, juvenile dependency restraining order, criminal release agreement or juvenile release agreement, the restraining orders will not prohibit mediation unless the restraining order expressly so provides.(2) The mediator shall determine the form of mediation best suited to the circumstances where some form of restraining order is in effect, subject to further order of the court.Amended effective 2/1/2024.
