Section 1 - Notice of Intent to Leave Office Before End of Term A judge intending to leave a judicial office before the end of the judge's term of office, thereby creating a vacancy, shall do both of the following at least three days prior to leaving the office:
(A) Submit an original resignation from office letter to the Governor indicating the date the judge will leave the office; (B) Submit an original notification letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court indicating the judge has submitted a resignation from office letter to the Governor and containing a copy of the letter.
