Rule 6.2 - Information DistributionA.Notice to Other Agencies. The court, or board, shall notify the disciplinary enforcement agency of other jurisdictions in which the lawyer is admitted about any public discipline, transfer to or from disability inactive or incapacitated status, reinstatement, or certificate of conviction.The court, or board, shall notify the National Discipline Data Bank of the American Bar Association of any lawyer's public discipline, reinstatement, or transfer to disability inactive or incapacitated status. B.Notice of Discipline.(1) The court, or board, shall promptly distribute a notice of an order issued under these rules which: (a) Imposes probation that limits the scope of a lawyer's license to practice law; (b) Issues a reprimand against a lawyer; (c) Suspends a lawyer's license to practice law; (e) Transfers a lawyer to or from disability inactive status, unless the court orders that no notice be given; or (f) Reinstates a lawyer's license to practice law to the association and the official newspaper of the county in which the lawyer maintained an office for the practice of law. The notice must clearly identify the lawyer affected by the order and contain a summary of the circumstances which resulted in the action taken including a reference to the appropriate rule or statute. (2) The disciplinary authority that issues an admonition or imposes probation which does not limit the lawyer's license to practice law against a respondent who, where permissible, does not timely request a review of the discipline imposed under these rules, shall prepare a written summary of the misconduct that resulted in the discipline, including a reference to the disciplinary rule or statute violated and cause the summary to be published in the association publication. The summary must not identify the lawyer disciplined by the disciplining authority nor contain any information that may reasonably reveal the identity of the lawyer disciplined. C.Notice to the Courts. As to all lawyers transferred to disability inactive or incapacitated status, and as to any lawyer who is disbarred or suspended, including interim suspension, who is unable to comply with the requirement of Rule 6.3, the court shall request the presiding district judge of the judicial district in which the lawyer maintained a practice to take appropriate action under Rule 6.4 to protect the interest of the lawyer and the clients of the lawyer.
