Formal discovery as conducted in a civil action under these rules is not authorized regarding contested civil traffic infractions, except as provided by Rule 83. A copy of the civil traffic infraction and any statement of the issuing officer is deemed the discovery and may be obtained from the court through a court records request and payment of the requisite copy fees as set forth in NRS 4.060.
