Rule 144.02 - Allegations of Petition or Counterclaim Considered Denied

If the party against whom a claim is asserted appears, whether or not a response to the claim is filed, the claim shall be considered denied unless the party consents thereto, and any defense may be proved as if it were specifically pleaded.
